Lost in Ordinariness, Found in Gamification…

– Marcoooo!!

Loud chattering going on.. People laughing, exchanging thoughts and moving around in the bright room on the 5th floor. The sea breeze lures into the air of the training room, the humidity is steady. 30 youngsters roaming in the room.

– I repeat: Marcooo!!

– Poloooo!! – they answer, finally. The whole international group stays still, and the session begins with the coordination of Levan, the Georgian facilitator.

The topic is gamification. There are 5 countries represented in this 8-day-long Erasmus+ Youth Exchange programme. The blondes, the cheese-lovers, team paprika, the neighbours and the kartvelis, indeed – lost in ordinariness and found in gamification…

This international project is like a big learning adventure made up of different experiences. The “journey” includes playing educational games and going on hikes in nature. Gamification infuses the element of fun into the learning process. Applying non-formal education, a wide spectrum of activities fuels both personal growth and collaboration, including reflection on their newfound knowledge. Last but not least, refreshing beach swims offer moments of leisure and reflection, while the intercultural evenings offer chances to exchange of perspectives that reach far beyond the project’s horizon.

30 people working together: the blondes, the cheese-lovers, team paprika, the neighbours and the kartvelis. The Lithuanians, the French, the Hungarians, the Armenians and the Georgians. Lost in ordinariness and found in gamification…
