Mariam Egriselashvili is a Georgian volunteer who joined Solidarites Jeunesses, in France and carries out her short-term European Solidarity Corps project funded by Erasmus +. Read what she says about her experience:
“With the help of European Solidarity Corps, I took part in a similar project for the first time, which, I can confidently say, was one of the best experiences in my life. During this project I met a lot of wonderful people and made some real friendships. In this month and a half, I did a lot of things for the first time and learned a lot of things that really helped me develop my personality. The main theme of the project was collective coexistence, gardening, self-development and, of course, sharing experiences. In addition to Montendre, I visited several cities in France, which overall added more positive emotions to the overall impression.
‘la Maison de Bateleurs’ gave me the opportunity to engage in activities that were completely foreign to me, even gardening, interacting with chickens, attending French lessons, etc. I will add that I received many challenges as a volunteer (even cooking dinner for thirty people or hosting people of different backgrounds and cultures and finding a common language with them), which I handled perfectly.
I am grateful to my sending organization – BITISI, because it was with their help that I heard about this project and with their help I traveled to France to participate in this wonderful project.”
