“Before the project started, i was nervous, thinking it would be difficult to go to a foreign country .”• Mariam Surameli

” However, Ängsbacka exceeded all my expectations. It is a place where you can truly be yourself, feel support and warmth from complete strangers, and experience a space free of judgment.

The project focused on the practice of working meditation. During my volunteering, I discovered many new skills that helped me better understand myself. While living there, I had the opportunity to grow fruits and vegetables with my own hands, eat healthy food, and stay physically active in daily life.

I took part in festivals, met people from different countries, with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we shared our stories and perspectives with each other. I’m happy that I was able to represent my country and leave a positive impression.

This project gave me a chance for personal growth I got to know myself better and gained experiences that are truly invaluable to me.
