Narrative Navigators

From 21–29 September 2025, our team took part in the Training Course Narrative Navigators in Wald am Arlberg, Austria. The project gathered youth workers and educators from 10 countries to explore how storytelling and literature can become powerful tools for inclusion and emotional support.

Throughout the 7-day program, participants dived into bibliotherapy, creative writing, poetry, journaling, movement, and intercultural dialogue. The training focused on equipping youth workers with practical methods to support young people facing social exclusion, helping them build self-expression, resilience, and emotional awareness through stories.

The course created a safe and inspiring learning environment where participants shared experiences from their local realities, reflected on challenges young people face, and developed concrete ideas for implementing biblio-guidance activities in their communities. Special attention was given to fostering empathy, active listening, and meaningful connections in youth work practice.

Beyond the learning sessions, the project strengthened international cooperation and built new partnerships for future initiatives focused on inclusion and creative youth engagement.

We are grateful to have been part of this enriching experience and look forward to applying the tools and methods locally to create safe spaces where young people can find their voice through stories.

In the end, participants received YouthPass certificates that confirm their participation and the skills they gained during the project.
