“Career Bridges – Success Story of Mine” was an Erasmus + Youth Exchange project focusing on the topic of Career Orientation and Guidance.

Participating countries: Georgia, Lithuania, Spain, Ukraine and Italy.

Project Description

The Erasmus+ project “Career Bridges. Success Story of Mine” was held in a small beautiful town Torre Lapillo, Italy. The main aim was to let participants get more information about professions and career paths that exist.

All the partakers could figure out what the current stage of their career is and to elaborate their strength and weaknesses. Besides, we got to know about employment opportunities in every country-member: Italy 🇮🇹, Ukraine 🇺🇦, Sakartvelo 🇬🇪, Lithuania 🇱🇹, Spain 🇪🇸.

On the first day all the participants were trying their best to remember each other’s name. It was not that easy to remember all Georgians, even though there were not so many. So we played the name games such as “Bingo” and “Blanket”.

We also played lots of ice breaking games, drew our portraits for “Secret friend” and created the rules for everyone to follow. We came up with the record number of 11 rules, which is a lot for such projects. That’s why we were punished every time for breaking one of them. Punishments were created also by the team, so our facilitator didn’t have to break his brain on what to do with our instant being late.

During the activity “Mission Impossible” we got to know each other better:

Lithuanians are parting 24/7, Ukrainian girls think it’s Fashion Week every day, Italian are smiling with no reason and Georgian guys are ready to beat the shit out of you, also with no particular reason.

On the 2nd day we had “Spaghetti challenge”. The main task was to build the highest tower with 20 spaghetti and 1 metre of tape. We all worked as a team for the one mission. Even though all the towers fell down right after the evaluation.

At the activity “Treasure Hunt” we had a chance to explore the beautiful town Torre Lapillo completing funny tasks, such as singing Italian song with local people.

In the evening we played “Survival” game. We had to imagine that we are professionals of different occupations flying in the airplane with one parachute over an island inhabited with primates. The population is on a very basic level of their development. So needed to eliminate each other and at the end only 1 person is able to survive and help primates to develop. This game helped us to find out which skills are the most important for moving forward our society.

On the day 3 we were discussing the pros and cons of career/ volunteering/ entrepreneurship/ employment/ profession. When to start and how to choose yours.

Also, we played the “Agree or disagree” game debating on disappearing professions and the best time to start a career.

The weather was really nice in here. Sunny and warm, as usually in November on the Ionian seaside. So that, all the guys were going to the beach to enjoy the sea, sunbath and do yoga during the lunch break.

Talking about the food, catering was just perfect for all the diets. Our awesome chef Josepe made special dishes for those who are vegan. or vegetarians. We had pasta and focaccia every day. That’s how you can feel Italian vibes in dishes.
