“This project is a new challenge for me and offers me new adventures every day”

Read what she says about her upcoming experience:

Hello! I am Nanuka, 20 years old, and a student at the International Black Sea University. Although I am currently using an academic break, I still do not stop my personal and professional development and am constantly looking for new things.

I am in Bucharest for the fourth week and I am participating in the European Solidarity Corps program as a volunteer with the organization “A.C.T.O.R.”. I work with children and youth, as well as people with disabilities. From the day of my arrival, I am actively involved in the activities of the organization and understood how responsible is my role.

My daily activity includes origami and craft workshops with adults, cultural lessons with primary school children, puppet shows for kids in hospitals and social centres, and other fun activities with people with disabilities such as painting, playing games, dancing, etc.

I study international relations and my interest is to get to know the history, culture, and political situation of different countries, what “ESC” offers me. As for Bucharest, it is outstanding with its culture and history. There is a mix of modern and historical architecture and various branches of art are developed. What attracts my attention the most is the Parliament, which is known for its grand dimensions, it is the second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon.

Living abroad and daily interaction with representatives of different countries helps me to learn better more about other countries, introduce Georgia to others, and develop communication and presentation skills along with other important abilities.

This project is a new challenge for me and offers me new adventures every day. I will compare it to a beautiful night dream where every day is better than the last, full of unforgettable moments and many new friends. Thanks to “BITISI” for helping me fulfil my dreams.

I am pretty sure that I will return to Georgia more developed and grown because every minute spent here is a unique experience for me.” – Nanuka Khotenashvili
