Georgian volunteers completed their short-term voluntary service at Ängsbacka Kursgård Ekonomisk Förening. Below you can read about the experience they went through in Molkom, Sweden. The project was supported by the European Solidarity Corps programme.

“Living together in a village in the middle of Sweden with people of different nationalities was quite interesting, which taught me many cultural differences and met people of different views and races.
I believe that these 3 months that I spent in Ängsbacka will completely change my future. This place helped me to know myself better and to grow as a person. I learned to use different tools, to build a tent. I spent my free time walking in nature and attending workshops that included yoga, meditation and more” – Anni Butiashvili.

“I spent 3 months in Sweden, lived with hippies, participated in the organization of several festivals and deepened my knowledge in areas such as yoga, meditation and spiritualism. I think that living in a community is a great experience in itself, especially if we take into account the mentioned topic. I met a lot of people from different countries, a lot of coaches, thinkers and like-minded people. If you want to discover something new in life and are looking for adventure, this particular settlement in Scandinavia offers you a sea of novelties and emotions” – Magdalena Altunashvili.

“It is not easy to find words for something we have experienced at Ängsbacka during our volunteering time. Throughout this journey I have met amazing, truly inspiring people and made forever friends. Everyday we had an opportunity to attend various workshops related to personal/spiritual growth and change our perspectives on life step by step. During our volunteering shifts I have realized that the work you do doesn’t necessarily have to be stressful and you can actually enjoy it. I will be forever grateful to BITISI and ESC for giving me the opportunity to find a little heaven on earth that will always have a special place in my heart” – Ana Kharchamadze.

“I spent three months in the most beautiful part of Scandinavia, Molkom, which belongs to Sweden. I participated in the organization of the festival, which included courses and healing processes. I met a lot of people from different directions, from different backgrounds, which broadened my horizons and filled me with new ideas” – Mina Sadigova.
