Nino Beruashvili is a Georgian volunteer who joined Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in Wroclaw, Poland and carried out her long-term European Solidarity Corps project funded by Erasmus +. Read what she says about her experience:
“This experience has been extremely fulfilling for me as it offered me a chance to develop and improve myself professionally as well as on a personal level. My tasks at the university included taking active part in all stages events, related to dissemination of the projects results such as proposing ideas, helping with logistics. I also co-organized extra events for the participants, supported administration in finding foreign partners and future participants, managed social media accounts and created promotional materials and visuals for events and social media.
Volunteering in Poland gave me opportunities that I am most grateful for. I have met amazing people from all over the world whom I am close friends with; had a chance to build a strong network with the professionals of the field and see myself from a completely new perspective.
For me, being a volunteer means spreading solidarity and contributing to a good cause, and I would never regret my decision to spend 9 months in Wroclaw on this matter”.
