Debate at Davitianni

On January 31, a debate event organized by members of BITISI’s Public Speaking Group took place at Davitiani. The discussion focused on timely and relevant topics, including the use of mobile phones in schools and the role of artificial intelligence across different professions.

The event brought together young people aged 17 and above, who were also introduced to BITISI’s activities and its broader mission. After becoming familiar with the structure and rules of the debates, participants actively engaged in the process and successfully completed all stages of the event, demonstrating strong communication and analytical skills.

Following two rounds of debates, the winning team was awarded 50% academy vouchers, while all other participants received certificates in recognition of their involvement. As part of the feedback shared after the event, participants highlighted the value of the experience, noting that the debates helped them develop teamwork, critical thinking, and structured argumentation skills, while also emphasizing the importance of BITISI’s support throughout the process.

The meeting included an introduction to BITISI’s work, an overview of debate rules, two rounds of debates, and a closing segment dedicated to awards and feedback. The event attracted significant interest and received positive responses from participants, reflecting its impact and relevance. We would like to thank everyone involved for their active participation and contribution.
