“One of the most significant aspects of my 8-month ESC journey in Craiova, Romania, was my language and professional development. During my time there, I worked with ACT – Asociația Comunități pentru Tineret, an NGO focused on youth and community development. This immersive experience changed my perspective, helped me grow both personally and professionally, and increased my confidence.

My role was very diverse and dynamic. I used English much more frequently than ever before, as it became my main tool for daily communication with team members, participants, teachers, and international partners. I was actively involved in planning and organizing different community activities, such as Children’s Day, Environment Day, and local workshops. These experiences encouraged me to express my ideas, collaborate with others, and adapt to different situations.

This ESC project was a very important experience in my life. It helped me become more independent, confident, and open to new experiences. During this journey, I learned how to adapt to a new environment, communicate with people from different cultures, and overcome challenges on my own. I discovered new skills and learned more about myself. This experience showed me that stepping outside my comfort zone is an important part of personal growth and becoming a better version of myself.”
