”Volunteering can provide a healthy boost to your self-confidence, self-esteem, and life satisfaction” • Mariam Basiashvili

Mariam Basiashvili is a Georgian volunteer who joined SKE AVGOROU, in Cyprus and carries out her short-term European Solidarity Corps project funded by Erasmus +. Read what she says about her upcoming experience:

”Hello from Cyprus !

My name is Mariam and the main reason why i came in Cyprus was that I am always trying to improve myself and not to freeze on one place. So that was amazing opportunity for me to explore more and more, get closer to new culture and see the world as beautiful as it is. What particularly attracted me to the program is the broad spectrum of skills to be developed that it offers, to adapt new culture and all these aspects will make it possible.

Volunteering can provide a healthy boost to your self-confidence, self-esteem, and life satisfaction. You are doing good for others and the community, which provides a natural sense of accomplishment. Your role as a volunteer can also give you a sense of pride and identity. I would like to give advise everyone to take every chance to go abroad and feel life around the world. What are you waiting for?”
